Calmwing

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Peak Apps Studio ("we") makes Calmwing. This policy says what the app does with your data. Short version: it stays on your iPhone and we collect nothing.

What Calmwing stores

Your trip, plan progress, notes, flight log and settings are stored only on your device. We have no account system, we do not receive any of it, and we run no analytics or advertising.

Motion sensor

The bump meter reads your iPhone's accelerometer while it is running to measure how big the bumps are. The readings are processed on the device, are not stored beyond the screen and are not sent anywhere.

Route outlook

When you press "Check my route", the app asks the US National Weather Service Aviation Weather Center (aviationweather.gov) for public pilot reports and turbulence forecasts in a box around your route. The request contains that box of coordinates and, like any web request, your IP address; it contains no account or personal content. We do not receive it.

Notifications

If you turn on the daily reminder, Calmwing schedules local notifications on your iPhone. Nothing is sent from a server.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. We do not see your payment details. Calmwing checks your purchase status with the App Store on your device.

App updates

The app can download updates to its own code from Expo's update service (expo.dev). Like any download, this reveals your IP address and app version to that service. No personal content is included.

Children

Calmwing is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Your choices

You can delete all data from Me > Delete all my data, or by deleting the app.

Not medical care

Calmwing is a self-help tool, not medical care. If fear of flying greatly limits your life, talk to a doctor or therapist.
